The Rolling Stones Unreleased 1972 Live Album
This era of the Stones holds a special place for me as ‘Sticky Fingers’ and ‘Exile On Main Street’ were two of the first albums I ever purchased with my own spending money. When the band hit the road in North America in 1972, they came out guns a blazing every night and packed their performances with songs from these two albums. Rumor has it that this tape was obtained from an associate of the band who was mixing the tracks for a live album. Unfortunately, that album never saw the light of day. Too bad, as these are some of the finest performances the band ever gave. Mick Taylor on lead guitar really brought the band to another level in concert and that is abundantly clear upon listening to these tracks!
