Son Seals – Live at Wise Fools Pub, Chicago, IL– August, 1978

Fans of Phish will be familiar with Son Seals’ signature tune ‘Funky Bitch’. Here’s a fantastic set recorded live for Chicago FM station WXRT during a residency at the Wise Fools Pub in 1978. Seals and his band team up with blues sax legend AC Reed and guitar legend Johnny Winter for a fine set of blues classics. The two songs with Johnny Winter are highlights but the whole show is excellent and showcases Seals’ skills as an accomplished guitarist and singer.
