Thanks to my friend Andrew in New Orleans for taking me to see these guys down there way back in 1997. I’ve tried never miss them when they come through town since then. No other band so masterfully weaves rock, blues and Spanish music into a consistently musically satisfying show night after night. I’ve simply never seen Los Lobos play a less than spectacular show. Here they mix their own (and also very underrated) original tunes with covers from the Allman Brothers, Traffic, Neil Young and The Grateful Dead for an appreciative crowd at the Fillmore in San Francisco in 1998.
